|
There are several reasons why this could occur. First, ensure your username and password are correct. If they are, you probably have been banned. If so, you will see a reason why after the failed login

» DO NOT DO ANY OF THESE THINGS
1- Selling, there is NO SELLING, TRADING or SOLICITING of ANY KIND on THIS Forum! 2- Do not register to ask how much your cymbal-items are worth. This is NOT the antique roadshow. Put them on an auction site, and whatever you get for it, IS WHAT IT IS WORTH at time of the auction. 3- Do not be an internet bully. There are millions of internet forums that allow and encourage brash behavior, this one however, does not. 4- Do NOT post your links to any internet selling-auction site or other forum of which you have merchandise listed. This means, do NOT post links to your, your family, your friends auction or for sale items!!! 5- Do not post your contact info on the public forum. Email, address, phone number and the like. 6- Do not tell members where to contact you or what other forums you have things for sale. 7- Do not register and post links to your sites, personal or otherwise. This is NOT a link farm to generate SE rankings or traffic. Any posts that violate these simple rules will be removed, and depending of the severity, the poster may be banned with OUT notice. The 3 STRIKE RULE pertains only to the failed American legal system... NOT THIS FORUM.
If these are too harsh or too hard to follow, no problem, just do not join the forum. Feel free to browse, just do not register if you can NOT follow these few simple requests.

» I registered but cannot login!
First, check your user name and password. If they are correct, then check to see if you did any of the DO NOT DO ANY OF THESES THINGS listed above. If COPPA support is enabled and you specified being under 13 years old during registration, you will have to follow the instructions you received. If you are 13 or under, chances are you will not be permitted here anyway. This board also requires new registrations to be activated by you before you can log on; this information was present during registration. If you were sent an e-mail, follow the instructions. If you did not receive an e-mail, you may have provided an incorrect e-mail address or the e-mail may have been picked up by your spam filter. If you are sure the e-mail address you provided is correct, try contacting an administrator.

» I registered in the past but cannot login any more?!
Attempt to locate the e-mail sent to you when you first registered, check your username and password and try again. It is possible an administrator has deactivated or deleted your account for some reason. Also, many boards periodically remove users who have not posted for a long time to reduce the size of the database. If this has happened, try registering again and being more involved in discussions.

COPPA, or the Child Online Privacy and Protection Act of 1998, is a law in the United States requiring websites which can potentially collect information from minors under the age of 13 to have written parental consent or some other method of legal guardian acknowledgment, allowing the collection of personally identifiable information from a minor under the age of 13. If you are unsure if this applies to you as someone trying to register or to the website you are trying to register on, contact legal counsel for assistance. Please note that the phpBB Group cannot provide legal advice and is not a point of contact for legal concerns of any kind, except as outlined below.
Better yet, if you are 15 or ubder, dont join this forum.

» Why are PMs (private mesages) not allowed?
This all goes back to my NO SELLING request. Private Messages and not private to anyone other than users. Will they ever be turned back on? I guess they will be allowed when I can trust people not to use this forum as a storefront, or when I feel safe entrusting the public with a key to my house.
