Review: Dark, yet has an addictive hissy brightness, full and dynamic, a bit trashy.

Review: Basically, I was hoping for a darker cymbal that would contrast with my 16" Sig Full crash. Well, the Twenty definitely delivers on that front. It is much darker and lower in pitch than the Sig Full. In fact, I'm wondering if Paiste shouldn't have saved the name 'Dark Energy' for the Twenty line since this cymbal is much darker than the 15" DE that it is replacing.
As well as being darker than most Paiste crashes I have played, it also is not as cutting. I feel like it would dissolve into the mix much more than other Paistes. None of this is necessarily bad, it just has different overall traits than what I am used to from B8 and B15 Paiste cymbals. That said, I really, really like the sound. I'm even considering taking the plunge and ordering the 18" as well. Right now I've got two Paiste Sig crashes and this one. It's like night and day. I'm trying to decide whether I should stick with the traditional brightness of the Signatures or explore the dark side with the Twenties.
