Review: I've owned it since 1986. Originally,it came with a reflector finish but that has since faded, leaving it with an aged appearance. This was my mainstay crash for years during the 1980s until about 2005 when I replaced it with a 17" 2002 Wild Crash. I've always loved this cymbal; to spite the fact that it is a proto-metal ancestor of today's "Rock" cymbals, this little beauty is very musical and loving. The overall pitch is low and considerably dark sounding. It fits into almost all Rock and Metal settings comfortably, although it can get lost in the mix on occasion. The bell sound is abit thin and hard to find but then,I don't usually care about the bell on most crash cymbals. I guess the hard question would be: will it fit into today's applications,e.g,Punk and Metal? Beats me,I don't play that stuff. But,it would be a great addition into any Rock cymbal collection and I'm mystified as to why Paiste discontinued it...but then, they discontinue many things...
