Review: A nice , trashy china, without much "gong". This size could be used for quick (but not TOO quick) accents with no problem. Want to play along to "New World Man" by Rush? This could be the one you are looking for. Medium-pitched. A great all-around multi purpose china. Great for just about any style of music.

Review: Wow! This cymbal bit my head off the first time I played it. It took a bit of learning how to play this one so that it is not one dimensional. Using varying degrees of attack and power on the outer edge of the cymbal, you can ride quietly (that's relative) or ROAR out accents that can kill the first 3 rows of people in the crowd!
This is classic rock china at it's best. No one else makes them sound quite like this. Think John Bonham meets Charlie Benante (1980's) and you've got it.

Review: If everybody's putting in their $0.02, IMHO the Paiste 2002 18" China is a must have (particularly for your current set up, Action). This cymbal blends perfectly with the 2002 sound and has a classic China voice of its own.

Review: Like they say on the Paiste page it is the quintessential rock china sound. It has a nice, trashy "PASH!" that decays quickly. It's not as complex a sound as the Sabian HH china but it certainly cuts, ideal for rock applications. I find that a lot of chinas lose their trashiness at lower volumes. This one certainly does not, it's got that china character at all volumes without sounding like a gong.

Review: The 18" Regular 2oo2 china is trashy with the 2oo2 "shimmer," and it's great for a variety of volume applications. Give it a whack and it's piercing, but playing at my normal level its very controllable. (I hit with about average force, not too soft and not too hard)

Review: 18" 2002 China: (Weight: 2.9 pounds) This is the perfect china cymbal imo. Produces a very oriental trashy tone that is smooth and fades away fast. The attack is really trashy and i find it darker and smoother than the sound file, and the decay is fast but with a nice voice, even darker than the attack. It produces different tones depending on how you play it, it is truly versatile, can be ridden, accentuated or crashed. The perfect china cymbal imo. A must try.
